Bridge in the City

When it comes down to cities and bridges, Los Angeles isn't really on top of the list. When you mention New York, you'll get Queens Bridge and the Brooklyn Bridge. When you mention San Francisco, you'll get Golden Gate Bridge and the Bay Bridge. But how about Los Angeles? Well the only single thing that we have within Los Angeles in terms of a water way is the Los Angeles river, a true visual history of Los Angeles graffiti. But now a structural essential (several actually) has come to our attention. In an article in the Los Angeles Times, they pay tribute to the bridges of the Los Angeles River. There are 11 bridges in total, each one of them having their own styles that give homage to early 20th century Los Angeles. I would suggest visiting these bridges on your free time to really feel what Los Angeles is all about. Check out the article here for more information on an exciting new beautification project that city is doing for these bridges.
